NORTH WEST - OFFICIALS/VOLUNTEERS UPSKILLING CLINICS

Athletics West will be hosting a free officiating upskilling clinic to kick off our 2025 North West Championships! Join our Officials in our upskilling sessions to learn more about the basics of officiating. These practical sessions are perfect for parents, volunteers and officials who are wanting to learn more about site preparation, event judging and processes, roles and rules, and more.

Officiating the Track

There will be two clinics held to learn about how to officiate the track, including information about race starting (long track vs short track), pre-race marshalling, race infringements and more.

Time: 1:45pm - 2:45pm

Location: Butler Reserve, Karratha

Session #2

Date: Saturday, September 20th, 2025

Time: 12:45pm - 1:45pm

Officiating Field Events (Jumps & Throws)

For those who are interested in gaining some practical experience and learning more about officiating field events, two education clinics will be held. These sessions will cover general jumps & throws officiating, specific rules for these events, site preparation, competition judging and more.
