The WA All Schools Championships is the premier event for school athletics competition in the State. Secondary school-aged participants (see age group details below) can compete against their peers from all schools.

2021 Results

AGE GROUPS & EVENT RESTRICTIONS

Events will be conducted in the following age groups. Age is determined as of 31 December 2021:

Under 14: Born in 2008 or 2009
Under 16: Born in 2006 or later
Under 18: Born in 2004 or later
Under 20: Born in 2002 or later*

Para Under 15: Born 2007 or later
Para Under 17: Born in 2005 or later
Para Under 20: Born in 2002 or later

*The Under 20 is a new addition to the WA All Schools Championship in 2021, to cater for high school students who are turning 18 or 19 by the 31 December 2021. Please note, athletes must be attending a West Australian high school to compete at this event.

Please note the following entry rules:

• Athletes must turn 12 in the year of competition in order to compete in these Championships
• Athletes must be turning 14 years and over in the year of competition to compete in the Steeplechase
• Athletes can not enter the Pole Vault event without prior experience in training and competition in the discipline.

• Athletes are not permitted to compete in more than one age group in the same event. Athletes who wish to compete up an age group may do so (providing they are eligible – see Rules and Regulations for further details) but are not permitted to also compete in their own age group if they have chosen to compete up. For the purpose of this rule the following events are considered to be the same event:

  • 3000m and 5000m
  • 80/90/100/110m Hurdles
  • 200m Hurdles and 400m Hurdles
  • 3000m Walk and 5000m Walk.

WA STATE TEAM SELECTION

The event is usually the qualification event for the Australian All Schools Championships, however the national event has been cancelled due to Covid-19. Athletics West will still select a State Team to recognise athletes' achievements.
