BIOMECHANICS- TIPS & TOOLS FOR COACHES

In partnership with the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS), we are pleased to offer the 2022 Coach Education Workshop Series, aiming to provide education and development opportunities to WA coaches by focusing on: Education, Environment, and Experience. These workshops are provided free to all Athletics Australia accredited coaches (Level 1 or above). Athletics West acknowledges the support of WAIS and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries in making this series possible.

This session will be presented by Aaron Balloch, WAIS Biomechanist and will cover the general principles for using biomechnics in track and field disciplines. All coaches will meet at WAIS reception and will be guided to the Seminar Room.

If you are unable to attend in person, but would like a recording or resources from the session, please complete the registration form by RSVP'ing 'No' and check the box to receive the information

Aaron currently works as a Biomechanist at the Western Australian Institute of Sport across both Swimming and Athletics. Prior to this position Aaron was an applied sports scientist with the Fremantle Dockers Football Club in the Australian Football League whilst completing his PhD at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia.
