Athletics West invite any eligible Little Athletics Program members to nominate to be considered for selection for the Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships WA State Team.

COMPETITION INFORMATION

The Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC) is an annual two-day event conducted by Little Athletics Australia. All states and territories, apart from the Northern Territory, are represented at the Championships.  

The ALAC encompasses

• Under 13 athletes (and Under 13 Multi-Class athletes)- Teams Track & Field Event
• Under 14 athletes (and Under 14 Multi-Class athletes)- Individual Track & Field Events
• Under 15 athletes (and Under 15 Multi-Class athletes)- Individual Track & Field Events
• Under 15 athletes- Combined Events Championship

TEAM INFORMATION

ATHLETE NOMINATIONS | To nominate your interest in attending, select the NOMINATE button above and enter the parent/guardian details in Basic Information, and Athlete details in Additional Information, select which age group you are nominating for (event ticket). Nominations close for Under 14 and Under 15 athletes on Monday 26 February 2024 at 11:59pm and Under 13 athletes on Monday 11 March 2024, 11.59pm.

TEAM SUPPORT | Athletics West will be sending team managers and coaches to support the WA Team at the event. We will also be conducting team sessions ahead of the Championships to allow athletes to get to know their teammates and prepare for the event.

TEAM TRAVEL | Team travel is compulsory and will be 25 April- 29 April 2024. Athletes can choose from the full travel package or land only package (excludes flights). Athletes who choose land only will have set drop off and collection times at the team hotel. Athletics West will book accommodation, flights (those who choose full package), ground transport, meals, team activities. 

Those who select full package it will include

• Return flights to Adelaide (depart Perth 25 April- Return Perth 29 April)
• Four nights twin share accommodation at Stamford Plaza, Adelaide (single beds)
• Team Uniform supplied (competition top & bottoms, tracksuit, hat, bag, training shirts, training shorts)
• Team activities including training sessions, presentation session prior to departure, activities in Adelaide
• Ground transport including airport transfers, stadium transfers
• Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinners)

Full Package approximate cost is $1900-2300 in total (subject to team size- updated 29 January 2024)
