The WA State 1,500m Race Walk & 10,000m Race Walk Championships is open to members affiliated through a Little Athletics Centre or Senior Club or an Athletics West independent member. If you have not currently registered for the 2024-25 Season, please visit our Membership page.

Entries open Wednesday 15th January 2025 and close 11:59pm Wednesday 19th February 2025.

ENTRY & ELIGIBILITY
The WA State 1,500m Race Walking Championships is open to all Little Athletics WA members who are born in or between the years of 2011 and 2008 and are affiliated through a Little Athletics Centre/Club only. There is no qualification criteria for Little Athletics Program members to enter this event.

If you are a Little Athletics member born in the years of 2012 / 2013, the 1500m Race Walking Championships will compete at the WA State Junior Track & Field Championships, 22nd - 23rd of March 2025. Please refer to the WA State Junior Track & Field Championships qualification methods here.
The WA State 10,000m Race Walking Championships is open to all Senior members who are born in the year of 2007 or earlier and are affiliated through a senior Club or registered as an Athletics West independent member. There is no qualification criteria for members to enter this event.

UNIFORMS / FOOTWEAR / BIBS
Little Athletics Program WA athletes are to wear Centre approved uniform with their 2024/25 season bib number. Senior Athletes wear their approved Senior Club/Independent uniform with their 2024/25 season bib numbers.
Athletics West will be enforcing the recent World Athletics Shoe Ruling for Open & Under 20 athletes. Click here for the current list of shoes deemed approved by World Athletics. Please complete the Shoe declaration found below prior to the competition.
CALLROOM
There will be no call room in operation for this event. Athletes are to marshal at least 15 minutes prior to the start time of their event at the appropriate starting area. In the marshalling area athletes will be expected to demonstrate to Officials that their competition uniform, and numbers, shoes and other equipment comply with the competition rules.
MEDAL PRESENTATIONS
After the results have been verified, medal presentations will be made as soon as possible after the event. Each athlete must wear their approved Centre (Little Athletics) or Club or Independent (Senior Athletics) uniform for the presentation ceremony. Medals will be awarded to athletes that place first, second and third.
