NATIONAL CLASSIFICATION PERTH

Athletics West is hosting a National Para Athlete Classification for Athletics at the WA State Track & Field Championships on March 7 2025.  

Please fill in the details through the nominate link on the left to register your interest and we will send out confirmation of your appointment once confirmed with the Athletics Australia Classification Team. 

This registration form is for athletes with a physical impairment only. If you are wishing to obtain a classification for an impairment group other than physical impairment (i.e. Intellectual, Visual, Hearing, Transplant), please go to the 'Get Classified' page on our website for more information of your classification process.

Please note: Your completion of this form does not guarantee your participation in the classification. 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

• All Athletes with a physical impairment who wish to compete in Athletics - athletes may be new, or may hold a State Level Athletics Classification (Provisional). OR
• Athletes who currently hold a National Level Classification with a "Review" or "Review 2025" status. See Classification Masterlist
• Please Note - New athletes, or athletes that only compete in club, regional or state championship events, can complete a State Level Classification (Provisional). More information about State Level Classifications are available here.

DETAILS

Please complete this nomination form to register for classification in advance.

• Cost: There is no cost to register or to attend a classification appointment.
• Appointment Time: Appointments are generally between 45-60 minutes in length. The timing will be confirmed once classifiers availability have been confirmed. You will be allocated a specific apointment time by Athletics West and notified of this after registration closes
• Do I need to supply anything else? 
  Athletes must provide a copy of a letter from their medical specialist (e.g. neurologist, rehabilitation specialist, orthopedic specialist) stating and outlining their diagnosis, this can be attached to this registration or emailed directly to keely@athleticswest.com.au
• What happens next? 
  Athletics West will contact all interested athletes once final date has been confirmed to assist with appointment times and to confirm all final details.
