The 2020 WA Coles State Championships will be contested on Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd February, 2020.

Late entries are permitted only where a position is available and will close 60 minutes prior to the published event start time. Late entries will incur a late entry fee of $40 per event, in addition to the $10 Championship entry fee (Total of $50 for a late entry, CASH ONLY).
Age Groups
The birth date calculation is as at 31st December 2020, as per the details below. For example, athletes who turn 14 by 31 December 2020 are considered Under 15 athletes and therefore cannot compete in Under 14 events.
Born 2008 or 2007 = U14
Born 2006 = U15
Born 2005 = U16
Born 2004 = U17
Born 2003 = U18
Born 2002 or 2001 = U20
Born 2000 or earlier = Open
An athlete can compete in only ONE UNDERAGE GROUP PLUS OPEN for each event/discipline. They may change age groups for different events but not for the same event. Please refer to the Rules and Regulations for further details.
Uniform
All athletes must wear the correct uniform; Club athletes must compete in club uniform and independent athletes in the Athletics WA independents top or in plain white.
WA Little Athletics members who do not compete at Strive competitions may apply for a uniform exemption. Please contact the Athletics WA office for further information.
All athletes must wear their 2019 - 2020 Athletics WA competition numbers. Athletes who are not wearing their official competition numbers will NOT be permitted to compete. Replacement numbers can be purchased from the TIC for $10.
Please note competitors are not permitted to compete in the WA State Team uniform.

World Athletics Under 20 Championships
The World Athletics U20 Championships will be held in Nairobi, Kenya from 7 July - 12 July, 2020. The Under 20 championships at the Australian Athletics Championships, 2020, is a selection event for the Australian team for this competition, and athletes aiming to qualify should aim to compete in the Under 20 age group at the Australian Athletics Championships. Athletes may be selected to compete at the Under 20 championships by meeting the relevant time or distance standard, or by placing first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) in the Under 20 age group at the WA Athletics State Championships.
