2019 World Para Athletics Championships Recap

All six WA athletes had impressive performances at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai.
Sarah Edmiston (F44) opened the Championships, throwing a huge 36.43m in the Women’s Discus to win the silver medal.
Rhiannon Clarke (T38) had an outstanding Championships winning two bronze medals in the Women’s 100m and 200m, running 12.94 and 26.79 respectively.
Ella Pardy (T38) had two great runs, finishing fifth in both the 100m and 200m, in 13.34 and 27.61 respectively.
Madison de Rozario (T53) claimed three medals at the Championships, proving to have a successful campaign after placing first in the 800m and setting a new Championship record, second in the 1500m and second in the 5000m.
Chad Perris (T13) ran an impressive 100m, winning the silver medal in a time of 10.86.
Robyn Lambird (T34) finished fifth in the 100m, in her first time wearing the Green and Gold at a major Championships.
