ALBANY ANNOUNCED AS 2026 WA COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS HOST

Athletics West is thrilled to announce the WA Country Athletics Championships are set for Albany in 2026!
The Championships will see athletes of all ages given a chance to compete with the event expected to attract more than 400 athletes, all vying for top honours and an opportunity to achieve new personal bests.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Albany, the Championships will showcase the growing incredible talent of regional athletes while bringing the community together for a celebration of athletics among WA’s Regional Centres.

Athletics West will proudly deliver the 2026 Country Championships in partnership with Albany Little Athletics Club, City of Albany, Healthway and their Fuel to Go & Play message, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Kumon, Keep On Running, and the Bibbulmun Fund powered by Fremantle Foundation.
