KUMON RETURN FOR 2022-23 SEASON

Athletics West is excited to announce Kumon will return as a partner for the upcoming season Athletics season. The partnership will once again support the delivery of the Little Athletics Program for Schools (LAPS) in Western Australia and champion Athletics West’s vision to connect WA communities through our sport.

Building on a successful first year, the Kumon partnership will see the world-leading education program offer opportunities and access to a range of activations to Athletics West’s memberships.

Athletics West CEO Vince Del Prete said he was excited to “further connect our Little Athletes with a world-leading education program to foster individual learning both on and off the track”.

“The last 12 months have seen our community embrace Kumon’s programs and helped ensure our community is well supported on the track and in the classroom. Their philosophy around discipline and learning aligns with our mission, and I know the Athletics West community will once again get behind this fantastic partnership.” Del Prete said.

With 42 centres in WA, Kumon provides supplementary, after-school mathematics and English programmes for children that build their mental calculation, reading comprehension, and self-learning ability.

“Kumon’s mission is to understand the potential of each student and develop their ability to the maximum,” said Kumon Western Australia Division Leader, Joanne Adam.

“Therefore, we are thrilled continue to supporting an organisation like Athletics West that shares our passion for helping young people to be the best they can be”.
