NIGHT OF THE 5 IS BACK AND BIGGER!

The Night of the 5 is back, bigger and newly branded thanks to Healthway and their 'Go For 2&5' message. As of the 2023-24 Summer Season, the event will now be called 'Night of the Go For 2&5' with the event expanding to include 2,000m races, as well as the 5,000m distance. 

The Night of the Go For 2&5 will offer 2,000m and 5,000m races for runners of all abilities and levels to test themselves on the track. Aimed at getting athletes of all skill levels the chance to run under the lights of the WA Athletics Stadium, the evening is set to bring the party vibes with trackside viewing, food trucks, a live DJ, and other entertainment set for 20 January 2024. 

The evening will see the best from around the state also battle it out in the final races of the evening with the night to crescendo with the State 5,000m Championships. 

Adding one final layer of competition to the night's proceedings, friends, family and training partners will all race to see who the fastest female and male athlete over the 5,000m with prize money up for grabs. 

To register in one of the 2,000m or 5,000m events head to the Night of The Go For 2&5 event page, otherwise, to register for the State 5,000m Championships be sure to have a current Athletics West membership and select the state championships portal.
